With the new governance model in place at BCSS, the BCSSGBA no longer plays an official role with the following:
- Providing a berthing formula for A, AA, AAA, AAAA BC Championships
- The organization, managing and running of A, AA, AAA, AAAA BC Championships.
- Providing zone reps for each tier in each zone in BC for local representation on important decisions.
- The organization, managing and running of A, AA, AAA, AAAA Zone Championship tournaments throughout BC.
The BCSSGBA will continue to do the following for girls basketball in BC
- Providing a berthing formula for Gr 9 and Jr BC Championships
- The organization, managing and running of Gr. 9 and Jr BC Championships.
- The organization, managing and running of Gr 9 and/or Jr Zone Championship tournaments throughout BC if required.
- Provide season rankings for Jr., A, AA, AAA, AAAA Girls Basketball.
- Maintain this website & message board to support players, coaches, fans.
- Continue to celebrate the Player of the Year and other top player awards.
- To support coaches, players and fans of girls high school basketball in BC.
