It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Mr. Bob Gair.

Former New Westminster Secondary Teacher Mr. Bob Gair passed away yesterday while golfing. Bob retired in 1994 after a long career teaching and coaching at New Westminster Secondary where he won a provincial championship. Bob started the Sr. Girl’s program at NWSS.  Bob also coached at Earl Marriott, winning a championship there as well.

Upon his retirement, an annual basketball tournament – The Bob Gair Classic – has been held every year at NWSS.

Bob was an all American swimmer at Ohio State University and had a passion for basketball and golf.
