Congratulations to Emma Wolfram for winning the Basketball BC High School Player of the Year award at the organization’s annual awards dinner and Hall of Fame banquet on April 21 at the Langley Events Centre.
Wolfram led her South Kamloops Titans to the BC ‘AAA’ Provincial Championship in March. She was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. The Grade 11 student also played for Canada at the Pan American Games in the fall of 2011.
The other nominees were Ruth Hamblin of Houston Christian and York House’s Alisha Roberts.
Both will be starting their university careers in the United States in the fall. Hamblin will play for Oregon State University of the Pacific 12 Conference while Roberts will suit up for Pepperdine University of the West Coast Conference.
